How to Donate to Common Thread!
If you would like to help support the work that Common Thread does in the community, please consider donating to Common Thread! We have several donation options; the Friends of Common Thread program for general donations, Memorial donations and Bequest giving.

The Friends of Common Thread Programme
Grassroots Supporter $10+ You will receive: A tax receipt An invitation to an open rehearsal where you can listen to songs-in-progress. Friends welcome! An invitation to Common Thread’s annual community sing-along. Bring a song to share, or just come and enjoy. Friends welcome! Advance notice of our annual events so you can make plans and book your tickets early. Your name printed in the program of our annual concert (optional).
Sower $75+ All benefits listed above, plus… Two tickets to our annual concert and 10% off other tickets if purchased before December 15th, within a given year. They make great holiday gifts!
Reaper $150+ All benefits listed above, plus… A Best of Common Thread CD from our first six years!
Spinner $500+ All benefits listed above, plus… A tastefully framed, limited-edition 4”X4” colour print of our banner. (A collector’s item! Not for sale to the general public.)
Weaver $1,000+ All benefits listed above, plus… Your name printed in our annual concert program for three consecutive years
Memorial Giving
A way to honour a loved one who shared Common Thread’s vision of community and song In recognition of your donation, Common Thread will: Send you a tax receipt Send a card of acknowledgment to whomever you specify, letting them know a donation has been made to Common Thread in their loved one’s name Acknowledge your memorial donation in our annual concert program. (Optional) Direct your donation to wherever it is most needed. Alternatively, you may specify an aspect of the choir’s operations that may be appropriate or desired, e.g. musical arrangements, membership subsidies or outreach tickets. It may be possible to offer additional acknowledgement of the deceased through these specific activities.
Bequest Giving

A Few Common Thread Stats!
$10 -	Buys one concert ticket for community outreach purposes
$50 -	Supports one night of childcare at a rehearsal
$75 -	Pays for one piano tuning
$100 -	Supports rental of hearing-assistive devices at a concert
$165 -	Covers membership for someone who can’t afford it
$200 -	Supports an arrangement of one song, or Braille translation of a concert program
$550 -	Sustains one voice in the choir for a season
$1,000 -	Provides skill-building workshops for the whole choir for half a season
$2,500 -	Covers yearly office expenses
$5,000 -	Pays for hall and technical support to produce a major concert
$7,500 -	Covers a portion of one year’s honoraria for conductors and accompanists, event and volunteer coordination, and rehearsal administration
